Chris Hanson recovered well from a double-bogey early on in his second round of the EuroPro Tour event at Collingtree Park.
Starting on the 10th tee and after four straight pars the Crosland Heath professional made a nightmare seven on the 543 yard par five 14th. However, he then fired back to back birdies to balance the books for his round. A further birdie on his ninth hole cancelled out a dropped shot on the previous hole as he reached the turn level par.
Birdies on his 13th and 18th holes and a bogey on his 16th resulted in a one under par round of 71 to move him to four-under for the tournament. Although he is five strokes behind joint leaders Daniel Brooks and Michael Hempstock he lies in a place for 11th position and a round in the mid sixties tomorrow will see him challenge for the title.
