Unfortunately the HHDGA Texas Scramble event to be held at Meltham tomorrow has succumbed to the weather. The snow that has fallen has resulted in Meltham being a white out and with more bad weather forecasted there is no chance of the event being played. This comes after the Ronnie Parkinson Memorial at Ryburn had to be called off recently following snow showers.
The alliance executive endeavoured to contact as many people as possible today but with many courses in the area being closed it proved somewhat difficult.
The event has been rearranged for Tuesday 21st April 2009 with the same start times if competitors are available. This was the first available date given that Ryburn has now been rearranged for next Tuesday, the 10th February.
Alliance organiser James Washington told the Huddersfield Blog, "The executive is naturally disappointed with having to rearrange events especially with the excellent support that has been given to the first two events of 2009. It is hoped that we can get the 2009 fixtures underway next Tuesday and get the momentum going for the remainder of the season."
