It proved to be a successful day for the Outlane Ladies in the Winter Alliance at Dewsbury.
Ann Day and Barbara Daniel won the Ladies Foursomes competition at the Mirfield based club with a splendid 41 points. They clinched victory via a countback after scoring a resounding 23 points on the back-nine. They would have coasted to victory had it not been for two 'blobs' on the front-nine where they failed to score.
Their putting proved to be the key on the home stretch with several long putts being holed. It was a double for Ann following her recent victory in the 9-hole competition at Longley Park with 19 points.
