The Winter League has been sponsored by Paul and Sam at The Travellers Rest in Brockholes. Chris Hanson who runs the complex in Honley said, "It’s great that they wanted to support the league and I can’t thank them enough!"
Hanson added, "We are still looking for a sponsor for 'The Player of the League', so if anyone may be interested in supplying a small trophy and a prize that would be fantastic. I know the juniors really love the fact they can play on a night after school and compete, so having that extra something to play for makes it even more worthwhile."
Hanson believes that the league will be of benefit to The Huddersfield, Halifax & District Golf Union as a whole as it allows juniors to remain competitive throughout the off-season.
