The weekly competitions continued at Bradley Hall on Saturday with a Gents Stableford which attracted over 150 players in the two divisions.
Although there was bright sunshine for the majority of the day, a cool wind made scoring difficult for many golfers but this not not deter the handful of good scores particularly in Division One with six-handicapper, Chris Mather, accumulating an impressive 41 points just beating David Maguire (8 hcp) and Alan Heywood (12 hcp) by a single point.
In fourth place was one of the clubs 'older statesmen' John Dolan with 38 points, along with category one player Ian Hallett.
In Division Two a popular winner was Roy Lofts (16 hcp) who has been out of the game for some time due to persistent back problems so it was good to see him winning that section with 38 points.
