Ellis & Pearson Cap Great Weekend

Crow Nest members James Ellis and Helen Pearson capped a great bank holiday weekend on Monday night when they landed the respective gents and ladies competitions in the third Crow Nest Masters tournament, a competitions contested by all the 'Major' winners at the Brighouse club.

As reported yesterday Ellis won the Rabbit Captain's day on Saturday to qualify for this special tournament.
Meanwhile on Sunday Lady Captain Pearson had successfully defended the Ellisford Trophy.

The 'Masters' event was formatted some three years ago and was designed to reward the winners of club 'Major' competitions with a special annual exclusive event.
The competition has proved very successful over the first two years and this year was no exception.

The sun shone during the day and the Clubs Junior section held a Barbecue which raised funds for their Section.
The Barbecue was run by the Junior Organiser, Mark Campbell, and he was helped on the day by Mike Walton and Barry & Liz Seymour. The Barbecue and the Presentation were very well attended.

James Ellis scored 40 stableford points to pip runner-up, Nick Day, by a point who beat Ian Donald on a count back. Pearson accumulated 38 points to take the ladies prize.

Both Ellis and Pearson are pictured with their trophies.
