Juniors Bounce Back

The HHDUGC Junior team bounced straight back with a victory over East Riding at Bradley Park on Sunday following their opening day defeat last week at the hands of an impressive Harrogate.

A convincing display in the morning foursomes gave the home side a strong platform for the afternoon singles which despite only halving was enough to give them a 21-15 win, the same margin they lost by seven days prior. The triumph would have been by a greater margin had the local side not lost the final three individual games.

Crow Nest Park's Ben Adamson (pictured) was the top performer on the day, firstly he partnered club team mate Nathan Scott to claim a 5&3 victory in the doubles and then totally outplayed his opponent in the singles to win by a huge 7&6 margin.

Adam Walker (Longley Park) and Ben Simpson (Saddleworth) also both collected maximum points for their side. Simpson and Adamson head the order of merit table after the opening two matches with Willow Valley's Lewis Howell in third place just two points behind.
