Outlane greenkeeper John Firth must have positioned the flags on the greens correctly for him and his partner Patrick Wray because they found them to their liking with a 62 nett to win the Spring Fourball last weekend. They secured the victory by a stroke from Club President, Trevor Pickles, and his partner Stuart Eastwood. First pairing out John Jackson and Jim Pryce had earlier set the pace with a 64.
Spring Fourball:
John Firth / Patrick Wray --- -------------62
Stuart Eastwood / Trevor Pickles ---------63
John Jackson / Jim Pryce ---------------- 64

Finally the junior fixtures at the Slack Lane club have been hit with terrible weather in their second and third matches. Both games had to be abandoned with first hail and rain waterlogging the greens and then rain, thunder and lightning contributed to the course being unplayable as well as being unsafe.
the scores are quite misleading as only 16 holes are in play
