Annette Bird made a happy return to an Outlane course where she learnt her golf - 21 years ago!
Bird brought two of her colleagues from Elland and one from South Bradford to help clinch a back-nine win in the Open Am-Am tournament at the Slack Lane course. It was a fine achievement considering they played the last four holes in terrible conditions of driving rain. They edged out a team consisting of two home members, a Crosland Heath member and a player from Meltham to claim victory via the card playoff.
The third placed team could have done with Wendy Stotts hole-in-one from last Thursday, which would have tied them for first place too, but as it was they finished two strokes adrift.
1st: A.Bird-Elland, J.Garside-Elland, K.Ford-Elland, D.Neathby-South Bradford = 130 nett.
