Woodsome Hall Seniors hauled themselves back into the race for the Lawrence Batley Seniors League title when they produced a spirited performance to beat Branshaw.
Branshaw had led section D and were unbeaten this season until they travelled to the Fenay Bridge side last week where they suffered a 7-1 reversal to the defending champions. The victory moved Woodsome Hall into third place, just two points behind Bransahw, and four behind new leaders Halifax.
Ogden moved to the top of the division with a 7-1 win over Elland but have played a game more than their nearest rivals.
Meanwhile Marsden continued their march to the title in Section A with a 6-2 against Oldham and are now a massive 14 points clear.
In Section B Bradley Hall moved into first place with an 8-0 demolition of West Bradford whilst Huddersfield kept the pressure on with a similar whitewash against Hanging Heaton.
Section C is the closest of all the divisions with Low Laithes just ahead of Blackley with both Crosland Heath and Dewsbury leading the chasing pack.
