133 club members competed in three competitions culminating in the Men's Captains Day Cup, a Club Major.
The day dawned with lovely sunshine, and against all the odds, during a week of inclement & unpredictable weather, the day and evening remained fine and warm. Even though there was a reasonably strong breeze the early scores indicated that there was a score to be had.
The winner came from one of the last groups out. A very popular winner emerged in the form of Ian Clarke, who shot a score of net 66 off a handicap of 17, which won him his first Club Major and also won him entry into both this years Crow Nest Cup and in future the annual Crow Nest Masters Tournament.
Martin Broadbent has been a member of Crow Nest Park from almost day one of the Club's history and rarely has there been an event where the Clubhouse had been as full as it was for his "Wild West" themed presentation. It was the exception during the evening for members NOT to be in costume and the evening disco continued into the early hours. A Bucking Bronco entertained many members during the evening, although it must be said that it was predominantly the younger members who enjoyed this activity!
