Outlane Results Update

Tim Brook won the first division in the July Medal at Outlane Golf Club with a 62 nett last Saturday.

Nigel Nuttal pushed him all the way and his gross score was only three off the course record (albeit a different set-up at the moment) but he dropped two shots on the opening two holes which proved decisive.

The second division saw a relative new member getting on the winning trail with Kevin Puckering winning his first competition and also the second and third players making their debut in the prizes.

The top eight gross scores now go through to play a knockout matchplay for the Sudworth Cup.

Division 1:
Tim Brook - 72 - 10 - 62 nett
Nigel Nuttall -68 - 4- 64 nett
Andrew Crossley - 74 - 9- 65 nett

Division 2:
Kevin Puckering - 79- 18- 61 nett
Andrew Prosser - 84 - 22 - 62 nett
David Little - 88 - 25 - 63 nett

Meanwhile in the Ladies Mr. Captains Prize the back nine proved to be what mattered for Gill Morris as there was a tie in the competition between three players who finished on the 66 mark.

With the other two in-form players having to take second and third as their back nine couldn't match hers. Sarah Hilton, who has just joined the club, had earlier won the Hebden Bridge ladies open on Sunday with Selina Gill and Janet Evans won the previous weeks President Prize.

The nearest the pin prize went to Wendy Stott who had earlier holed in one on the fifth hole during the annual Rabbits v Ladies match with a 9-iron

Results:
1. Gill Morris = 66 nett
2. Sarah Hilton = 66 nett
3. Janet Evans = 66 nett
Nearest the pin on 16th - Wendy Stott
