The 2009/10 Halifax, Huddersfield & District Golf Club Alliance will start on Thursday at Crow Nest Park.
In an event that was cancelled last year due to a lack of support Alliance chiefs are delighted with a turnout that includes seven professionals in the season opener.
There are still some last minute places available at the Hove Edge course which has recently been praised for it's condition. Treasurer James Washington said, "For the Crow Nest Park meeting to be going ahead is a real improvement, especially as a lot of golfers are still involved with club competitions."
He added, "I would like to reiterate that all prize winners are expected to attend the presentation with prizes forfeited for non attendance. Any competitor entered who doesn't show will also be expected to pay their entry fee with failure to do so resulting in the player being suspended until the fee is received."
The Crow Nest Park event doesn't require jacket and tie afterwards but a change from golfing attire is preferred.
Full start sheet.
