Granville and Bryn Jenkinson (grandfather and grandson ) completed a unique double when they won the Lockwood Victory Cups with a magnificent 61 nett score after a Graham Cups success earlier in the season with a 61 nett score!
Whilst the latter competition was a greensome, last Saturday's was a better ball off 3/4 handicap and the ravine at the fourth hole nearly caused their downfall when grandfather Granville (he had the shot) only just cleared the hazard and luckily the search for the ball was a success. Although it proved to be a horrible lie he hacked it out to finish an amazing 12 inches from the hole to the relief of Bryn who was also in trouble.
From then on both of them clicked to keep the momentum going to win by one shot and complete the double success of pairs golf to win two of Outlane's prestigious trophies.
