Home Comfort for Harrogate but Union Off the Pace at Bedale

The Halifax, Huddersfield & District Union of Golf Club's were unable to make their mark at Bedale Golf Club on Sunday when the Yorkshire Inter-District Union Team Championship took place.

The six-man strong team finished in seventh place as hosts Harrogate ran out winners by three shots from Sheffield who have now finished as runners-up in both the League and Team Championship.

Josh Bassitt (pictured) took the best individual prize with a three-under par total of 141, winning on a countback from Sheffield's David Booth who posted the low round of the day with his morning score of 67

Hebden Bridge's Iain Powell produced the best tally for the HHDUGC with rounds of 73 and 72 whilst West End's Frank Greaves also broke the 150 mark with 74 followed by 75.

3rd: Leeds = 890
4th: Bradford = 893
5th: East Riding = 900
6th: York = 902
7th: Halifax-Huddersfield = 906
