Outlane duo Jarrad Hazelden and Neil Hughes are the Halifax and Huddersfield District Golf Union four ball champions after a blistering 64 nett gave them the title on a scorching hot day at Willow Valley Golf Club. A magnificent partnership of consistent golf, in the event sponsored by Kelcol Bedding, was the key as the latter made the scores on the front nine and then the former did his bit on the back nine without dropping a shot to clinch a fine win.
A total of 132 golfers from 23 clubs competed in the day when the officials were there for a 12 hour day which was a great credit to them considering the high temperatures throughout.
