Last Saturday saw the playing of Crow Nest Park's first Board Competition of the year, The Harrison Trophy. The competition was started some 6 years ago and was designed to reflect on the Clubs Founders origins ie; the Harrison family with the trophy being a "Cow" on a plinth, to show the farming background.
Mr Richard Harrison was present at the evening presentation and handed over the trophy to the winning team Captain, Phil Widdop (pictured) who won the trophy for the second time.
The other members of the winning 4 man team were Craig Helliwell, Gareth Campbell & Jeremy Harrison (a very apt name) who won on a countback against two other teams on 18 under par.
The days events were supported by a day long barbecue and an evening Disco which were both provided by the in house catering team, Go Dutch. Approx 90 people attended the evening presentation and disco.
