Last Friday saw the playing of the annual Crow Nest Park Scratch open where golfers from Huddersfield, Leeds, Dewsbury and Brighosue played for the Everitt Cup. Over 30 players competed for the Cup in very testing blustery conditions.
The prize table was full with prizes being given to 5th place as well as a best net prize and the traditioal nearest the pin and longest drive competitions.
The overall wiiner was Andy Shaw, Huddersfield Golf Club, who won with a very creditable score of 72 gross. Behind Shaw was a posy of Crow Nest Park`s best players with club General Manager, Les Holmes, rolling back the years with a gross 74 giving him the runners up spot. Steve McDonagh won the best net score with a net 66.
