Halifax, Huddersfield & Distrist Union player, Ben Adamson won his first Club Major title winning the oldest Club Competition, the Thompson Shield at Crow Nest Park.
The shield which has the House of Parliament Coat of Arms was presented to the club by the late Lord Thompson during the first year of the club.
Adamson shot a stunning gross score of 66 net 64 to claim his first big prize at Crow Nest. the win entitles him to play in the Clubs Champion of Champions annual tournament the Crow Nest Masters.
It was fitting that Lady Thompson, widow of the late Donald Thompson presented the shield to the winner in the presence of a large number of club members.
