Crow Nest Park Golf Club held its first Past captains Match this week. 40 Past Captains from both the Halifax & Bradford Golf Unions gathered at the Hove Edge Course. It was the first time that Crow Nest had been asked to host this keenly fought match. Many of the players had not previously played on this course but the recent national & worldwide accolades had been acknowledged. The very complimentary comments made by the two team Captains and the players all confirmed the growing reputation of what is fast becoming the jewel in Brighouse`s sporting crown.
The match finished a very creditable draw and 42 past captains stayed behind at the clubhouse and enjoyed a super two course meal of Lamb Henry and apple Crumble.
