Dennett Wins Remembrance Cup

The weekly men's competition at Bradley Hall Golf Club which was played on Saturday 14th August was the 'Remembrance Cup' which attracted a field of 155.

Played in a brisk north easterly wind, with exceptionally fast greens, resulted in the standard scratch score rising to 71 and many of the holes which usually offer up 'birdie' chances, proved to be the most difficult and only 10 of the field recorded under par scores.

However, professional tennis coach, Dan Dennett, obviously found the conditions to his liking and his nett score of 65 gave him his first individual title since joining the club a few years ago. The score was two better than head greenkeeper, Alan Court, the recent winner of the Captains Cup and a further shot back were Trevor Moroney and Graham Clow who incidentally 'employed' his wife as his caddy for the day and gave him his best return for the past two seasons.

The lowest gross score of 71 was returned by Andy Whitworth.
