Union Junior Team Need Two Big Wins

The Halifax, Huddersfield Junior Union team are in a strong position in the Yorkshire Inter District Union League but need two huge victories if they are to land the title.

They currently lie in second place but have a game in hand on most of their rivals and two on current leaders Sheffield, who they trail by four points.

Sheffield have played all their matches so the HHDUGC side must win both their remaining games to tie the South Yorkshire side on points. Although to top the table they must win both games by a total score of 47 points, a seemingly impossible task.

Their next game is away against Harrogate Union tomorrow at Harrogate Golf Club whilst they complete their season with a home encounter against Teesside at Bradley Hall next Tuesday.
