Bradley Park Alliance Report & Results

In the recent Alliance event at Bradley Park Golf Club the scoring was dominated by the Pro-Am section with 1st prize going to Tom Wild (scr) and Lee Pickup (12) from Bradley Park with 43 points.

In second place were Gareth Evens (scr) and Dean Wilson (4) of Crow Nest Park with 42 points.

The Am-Am section was won by Mick O’Hara (9) and Steve Pickup (14), Bradley Park / Castlefields, with 39 points on a countback from Adam Cryer (scr) and Andy Cryer, Ind (Woodsome) / Hebden Bridge.

The players enjoyed warm sunny weather in the morning, becoming cloudier in the afternoon. The course though was quite wet following the recent rains with the greens being particularly soft, although reasonably paced.

Five nett eagles were recorded, Lee Pickup had a gross 3 on the 385 yd 1st, Jack Pearcey a 2 on the 303 yd 7th, P. Hessletine a 3 on the 386 yd 16th and Steve Pickup a 4 on the 491 yd 18th plus a 2 on the 175 yd 6th.

Although the entry was well up from the season’s first event at Marsden it was still very disappointing and clubs are asked to promote the next events.

The next meeting is at Halifax G.C. (Ogden) on Tuesday, 5th October.
