Willow Ladies Land ADP Again

Willow Valley Golf Ladies team are are stacking up achievements left right and centre.

Not only have the successful side made it to the final of the Daily Mail Foursomes competition but last Sunday also successfully defended their Yorkshire ADP title at Allerthorpe Golf Club.

At Allerthorpe Golf Club they played the semi-final in the morning and beat Calverley 2-1. The three team members were Linda Burnley, Denise Page and Diane Greenwood.

In the afternoon they played Flaxby and won 3-0, represented by Janet Tedstone, Audra Barlow and Lesley Shaw.

Helen Newton from Willow Valley said, "This really is a fantastic achievement - we don't think any club has won the title in consecutive years. Next year they are aiming for 3 in a row!!!"

Back in April Linda Burnley and Janet Tedstone started their quest for the Daily Mail Foursomes title, seven rounds later they now find themselves through to the last 16 stage.

On the way they have recorded home victories against Huddersfield, Crow Nest Park, Woodham and Owston Hall, plus away wins at Selby, Outlane and Pannal.

The final event will be staged at Marriott St Pierre in Chepstow on Monday and Tuesday, 18th and 19th October. To take the trophy they will have to win four rounds of foursomes golf in 2 days.

Newton added, "All the members and staff at Willow Valley wish them luck and are confident they can bring the trophy back home!"
