Burgin drives in as first lady committee member elected at Dewsbury

Mr Rod Burgin 'Drove into Office' as Captain of Dewsbury District Golf Club on Sunday 27th March. 

Rod has been a member at Dewsbury for over 34 year and has also served on the Club Management Committee. 

He was then partnered by Mr Martin Brocklehurst the Vice Captain, for a challenge match against the Rabbits Captain, Mr Allan Ramsden and his Vice Captain, Mr Sean Ackroyd.

Also at last nights Club Management Committee meeting history was made at The Pinnacle Club when Mrs Marie Franks was welcomed to the meeting by the President, Mr Keith Harrison, as the first lady to do so in the 120 year history of Dewsbury District Golf Club.
