Chris Hanson (Woodsome Hall) started his 2011 season today at Hart Common near Wigan in a 36 hole event on the Northern Pro Tour.
His first round 69 left him level with Mark Mouland just one behind 3 joint leaders who include Matthew Evans from Rotherham.
Hanson had 2 birdies on the front 9 holes but 2 bogeys on the back 9 and only 1 birdie left him with a 1 under par total. Paul Eales lies joint 10th after a 71.
Meanwhile Adam Durie, also from Woodsome Hall, returned a 78 to be six shots adrift at Alwoodley on Monday 14th March.
This put Adam joint 9th in his first outing of the season in the first event on the calendar 2011 Yorkshire PGA Mizuno Order of Merit calander, a series of events for trainee professionals.
