The Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters, a leading international golf tournament, was played at the Nizels Golf and Country Club, Kent on Friday 17th June to Sunday 19th June 2011.
18 Holes Friday, 18 Holes Saturday, then a cut with the top 36 + ties playing 36 Holes on Sunday.
Meltham junior golfer, Jamie Bower, finished a very creditable 5th place, with scores of: ( Par 72) RD1 71, RD2,70, RD3 72, RD4 68 - Total 281 = 7 under par.
He finished three shots behind the winner and England International Toby Tree, Worthing Golf Club, on 278.
Jamie also represented England on his debut along with Greg Payne (Chobham) who has represented England 3 times in the 54 hole Rudersdal Junior Open at Furesoe Golf Club near Copenhagen, Denmark, on the 11th to the 12th June. Both boys gave creditable performances. Greg and Jamie finishing in the top ten, 3rd and 9th respectively.
