After qualifying for the Fundraising Final at The Belfry back in April, Hanging Heaton members Declan Colleran, Billy MacIver and Dominic Hale played at the West Midlands course on 11th July 2011.
The competition involved the qualifying round in April at Halifax West End where they raised nearly £300 for The British Heart Foundation.
Through this they qualified for the final at The Belfry on the Derby Course. This round consisted of 2 players out of the 3 person team to count in the scoring, Declan had 34 points, Dominic 40 and Billy 37. The two top scores contributed to make a total of 77 points. This finished in second place, just two points behind the leaders of 79.
The club has expressed how proud they are of the three players, and can already see how they are progressing as good young talented golfers.
