Treble Success as team storm to victory

The Outlane annual Texas Scramble was won by a team who completed a hat trick of wins in this event with Paul Walker, Nick Sutton, Neil Hughes and Jarrad Hazelden scoring a 58.4 nett score to come out on top.

In second place with a score of 59.1 was Steve Marshall, Leo Scott, Stewart Swift and Steve Spencer followed by Paul Thomas,Simon Wagstaffe, Bryn Jenkinson and Nathan Lockwood who registered 60.2.

The shotgun start saw teams having a battle in testing conditions - there was strong winds and heavy rain showers and the winners could even afford 2 bogies on holes such was the abnormal weather at this time of the year but their 10 birdies were enough to clinch their treble success in this competition.

The course stood up remarkably well considering the buffeting it got which made some holes unreachable in normal stroke regulation.
