Guy weathers the storm and Strikes it Lucky

The Rabbit Captains Day at Outlane was in danger of being called off as the early starters were faced with thunder and lightning which was encircling the area and whilst it didn't actually hover over the course it was all around in a situation where if it did then the competition could have been in jeopardy.

Luckily the thunder and lightning receded and went away for the competition to continue and it was welcoming news for Guy Bayley who had experienced the early tremors but came through with excellent strikes of his own to register 45 Stableford points from his second division status.Alan Henderson also was on the course when danger threatened and his 44 points got second place with a better back nine from Dennis Pearcey.

The first division saw Nick Sutton registering 44 points and he was one of only two players out in the afternoon who were in the prizes as Martin Jackson matched his total from his morning round but lost on the count back with another early starter Gavin Hirst on 42 points. The Junior prize went to afternoon player Joe Blackwell who had a 12 point margin from Michael Thomas and nearest the pin prizes were won by Stuart Swift and Jim Sykes on the 5th and 16th holes.
