The Yorkshire Inter-District Union Junior Team Championship was held at the Keighley Golf Club on Thursday 27th August.
The local HHDUGC team had an off day finishing in last place whilst Bradford Union ran out the winners.
The Club Secretary at Keighley, Cameron Dawson, explained at the presentation that they had experienced an exceptional rain storm during the night prior to the competition so bad that the green staff had to turn out at 4am to clear away water from the fairways. Their good work and a fine sunny day ensured that the course was in first class condition.
The presentation to the winning team (pictured) was made by Howard L. Thorpe who is also President of the Bradford Union and was received on his behalf by Peter Delaney who is the Junior Organiser of the Bradford Union and has been for many years.
