Professionals Weekend Produces Thrilling Results

The Outlane Professionals weekend needed a lot of calculations to sort out the prize table with the first prize going to Bryn Jenkinson who had a better Sunday result than Jarrad Hazelden as they both had a 134 total over both days.

The competition is held over two days and also players can choose to play either on Saturday or Sunday for individual prizes. as well as the main prize for both days. The winners 65 nett on Sunday was 5 shots better than the runners-up score of 70 nett who had an excellent 69 gross (64 nett) on Saturday which put him in the driving seat for the Professional Prize.

At one point the course record (66) was in danger ,unfortunately missed putts added to the score to leave him 3 off the record. It was third place that caused the computer to work overtime with 6 scores of 135 having to be sorted out for the prize and Michael Thomas claimed the best back nine from the equal scores. The First Division on Saturday was won by John Lawton with Paul O'Hara in second place and the Second Division was won by Joe Blackwell and Tom Wimpenny the runner-up.

On Sunday Stuart Hodgson had a better back nine to Paul Savage to claim the Division one prize whilst the Second Division winner Jim Sykes had a 1 shot margin from Ken Robinson . The Junior prize was won by Nathan Lockwood with Josh Woodhead second.

4. Simon Senior: Saturday - 68 nett / Sunday - 67 nett = total 135

Ken Robinson - 85 gross ((16) = 69 nett

Nigel Nuttall: Saturday 71 - Sunday 71 = total 142

Junior Prize:
