Elland Golf Club Rabbit Captain, Barry Holbrook, held his competition over two days. Tuesday 9th August was for the 41 Ladies who set out in glorious sunshine. The winner with two under par was Mary Mellor.
The Men’s day, on Saturday 13th, had a field of 104, playing in variable weather conditions, on a course in fantastic order. The winner was Peter Thompson with 38 points, after a count back on the back 9.
On Saturday evening Tracey Gilling provided a sumptuous three course dinner before Barry and his wife Diane presented the prizes to the winners.
