There's no doubting this Thomas

The Elland Junior Open was played in glorious weather and the Stableford competition proved to be just as glorious for Outlane's Michael Thomas who had a perfect round to finish with 42 points and he continued his commanding form with his new handicap after being reduced from his own club competition at the weekend.

He now has lost a further 2 shots and is down to single figures after a tremendous run of scores. In second place was Bethany Farren from the home club and was only one point behind with 41 points .

The Outlane club had a good day with Tom Wimpenny claiming third place with a better back nine from two other players.

The nearest the pin prize was won by the very first player out Rowan Wright who put his tee shot three feet from the hole on the eighteenth green.

A special mention must go to Outlanes 8 years old Oliver Caton who was playing his very first competition and came in with a magnificent 26 points.
